Nikky is a natural born visual-doer. His obsession is merely to be a design evangelist; to incorporate every visual art disciplines into inseparable integrated and coherent part. He has Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), in 2001. During the university years his illustrative drawing skills, constructive illustration and rendering has been well-known among his colleagues. He was also actively involved in student associations to broaden insights and contributed society.

He believes that design is not just form and emotion who has purposes or a solution for problem, he believes that design is a progressiveness catalyst, a leap-forward energy within organization, a soul which embodying every visible human artefacts and every invisible human dreams.

His works has unique stamp of subtle, delicate, pure, emotionally-centred, with strong accentuation in focus and purpose, slightly psychologically ecstatic, and stimulate inner thoughts. He considers that strong concept, disguised purposes, and visual enjoyment are triumvirate in design which cannot be separated.

Before establishing 2++, Nikky worked as in-house at craft-based export company, JEPE and as in-house in international chain hotel, Shangri-La Hotel and Residences, Jakarta. Whilst worked at JEPE, he gained several nationwide and international design awards. At Shangri-La Hotel and Residences, he successfully created visual identity concept for the new Italian contemporary restaurant, Rosso, and successfully introducing a new image of Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta; has been developing significant recognition among 5-star hotel in Indonesia for its advertisement and collaterals.

Nikky’s extensive visual skills includes 3D Digital Imaging (3DMax and Rhino3D), 2D Digital Imaging (Adobe Photoshop), Print and Desktop Publishing (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, CorelDraw), Web and Interactive Application (Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, PHP/ MySQL), commercial photography, hand drawing, copywriting and product modelling.

Nikky's industrial design work has appeared in the ASEAN-Japan Centre in Tokyo, Japan and in several well-regarded national publications including Tempo magazine and Kompas daily newspaper. His many accolades include G-MARK Japanese Good Design Award, ASEAN Design Selection 2005 and Golden Award of Indonesia Good Design Selection 2005.
