Karim is a stunningly autodidact photographer; graduated as Bachelor of Engineering in Geology from Padjajaran University, Bandung in 2002, he's just realised that his passion and drive is in photography instead of working in Oil companies. He started seriously to study commercial photography long before 2002 when he was commissioned commercial photography projects.

Soon after graduated, he started to work as freelancer until in 2007 he established own photography company, HiKey Studio with his colleague Iqbal Abidin for a year. April 2008, Karim and Nikky decided to risk challenge establishing a-new-kind-of-company, 2++, when their dreams to merge the-best-of-two-worlds of multidisciplinary design and photography seems to amplify his talents.

Karim’s works has characteristic of exuberant, vivid, humanely, sometimes with slightly mystery. Though its warm quality, he well-visualizes it through mild, fresh and bright mood. In contrary, when it turns into specific direction, he is able to reverse it through melancholic, dreary, shaded and overcast quality; a rich and diverse excellence work mixture.

His technical aptitude shows his clients a new perspective to capture objects and emotion, whilst his pleasing personalities brought good relationship with every agencies and every Creative Directors.

His commercial works range from people shots to interior and architectural, from foods shots to airplane shots; his photographic skill is beyond the objects.

Among his past clients are Samsung Electronics, Bank Mandiri, 3M, Acer, Unilever, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Permata Bank, Bank Tabungan Negara, Prasetiya Mulya Business School, Essential Bed and Bath, Bernofarm Pharmaceutical, Tupperware, Tissue Tessa.
